“the car show, the new SUV” (picture on smart phone, 2020)
I had a break from painting today. I could afford it, as I was very productive during the last days, and for the post for today there is something on stockpile. Yesterday I tried not to just sit in the abstract corner. The result has something about it, so I forgive myself for publishing it, but it has its dark sides (in the true sense of the words). But these days are a session from my perspective. You are allowed to do that. For today, I have chosen this small, completely different outsider picture from the last days. My idea for the name is “Autosalon”, a big event in former times, when I still read the Auto,Motor und Sport magazine, which my father had subscribed to since the beginning of the sixties. There were also regular reports from the big car shows in Europe, which exhibited the models of the future. But soon I was especially interested in the small advertisements with tuning offers for the most common types of cars. I always made new bills, what my future car would cost. E.g. a quite normal Käfermodel of VW could be beautified with fog lamps, a leather cover for the steering wheel or even a special exhaust of the company Abarth. It was always a back and forth thinking about how much money one would need, and this at a time when I was already happy about five marks pocket money at the weekend. But, how do you say? Looking firmly to the future. And dreaming is part of life. More abstract tomorrow.
