Regal is the simplification of all the conclusions I had drawn from the abstract picture design until then. The background structure, according to my vocabulary the “playback”, consisted of two rectangular colour areas of approximately the same size. Two sheets of colored paper placed side by side and photographed. Structure only by the edges and the center line separating the colors. I painted on the mobile phone only with the thickest brushstroke and with two options used by the program. The straight line and the circle. However, I allowed myself the use of all eight colors, but only one “take” of each color. Then another name. While painting I had thought of REGAL. It stayed that way. A special picture by the minimalization of the fantasy part and by a gagging of the formal options. On the same day I also painted the picture “shadow-circle-eraser”.
