While I was listening to Kinga Glyk’s version of “Tears In Heaven” and the other tracks of her 2017 Warner CD “Dream”, I looked at the few photos I had taken on the occasion of the performance of the jazz bassist in the Cologne Philharmonic. They only showed a view of the empty stage in a hall already largely bathed in subdued light. The music of the CD reminded me of the friendly, but at the same time serious mood during the concert. Kinga showed her flawless ability, whether it was the rhythmic banging of her funk-bass or the lyrical moments that appeared again and again like beautiful islands in the concert, in which her bass runs sang beguilingly. I wanted to hear the CD to the end and began to paint the photo into a new reality. When I made the last changes to the picture, it had become a deep night.
